This New UAE Rule Will Not Allow Passengers With Only One Name On The Passport To Travel
Indian airlines in addition to Spicejet, Indigo, and Air India Express notified travel agents about the new UAE travel rule which states the modification in the naming guideline. It further states that passengers journeying from and to the UAE must make sure both their first names and surnames are mentioned in their passports.

US visa: Wait time for first-time tourist visa applicants nearly 3 years
For first-time applicants for the US' business (B-1) and tourist (B-2) visas, the wait now goes up to almost three years. So, a first time B1/B2 applicant may only be able to get an interview appointment for late 2025. The US State Department on Tuesday said the “the global median wait time for a tourist visa (B1/B2) interview appointment is under two months as of this month.”

Domestic air traffic rises 10 pc in October: DGCA data
Indian airlines carried 1.14 crore passengers in October, 10 per cent higher than the number of people flown in September. Data released by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Tuesday showed that domestic air traffic jumped nearly 27 per cent to 114.07 lakh last month compared to the year-ago period when it was 89.85 lakh.

Turkey logs 4.8mn foreign visitor arrivals in Oct
Turkey registered more than 4.8 million foreign visitor arrivals in October, up by 38.3 per cent year on year, official statistics showed. In October, the top country of origin among foreign tourists is Russia, which sent nearly 768,000 visitors, down by 10.7 per cent from the previous month and 15.1 per cent year on year, reports Xinhua news agency citing the statistics from the Culture and Tourism Ministry.

15.24 lakh foreigners visited India in 2021
Over 15 lakh foreigners, including 4.29 lakh US nationals and 2.4 lakh Bangladeshis, had visited India last year when the country was on an extended period of coronavirus restrictions and visa regulations, officials said. Ten countries accounted for 74.39 per cent of the total arrival of foreigners during 2021, while 25.61 per cent of the incoming foreigners were from the rest of the nations, a home ministry official said.
