Entry fee exempted at Taj Mahal to mark commencement of World Heritage Week
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will not charge any entry fee at the Taj Mahal in Agra today. The ASI has taken the decision to mark the commencement of World Heritage Week. In a notification, ASI said, that the entry to Taj Mahal, Agra shall remain free on 19 November except the main Mausoleum. It said, the visitors will be allowed to visit main Mausoleum only with requisite entry ticket.

Rajasthan recorded 90.4% increase in domestic tourist arrival compared to last year
Rajasthan has seen a 90.4 per cent increase in the number of domestic tourists compared to last year, an official statement said, adding that 1.64 lakh foreign tourists have visited the desert state till this September. The tourism department told a review meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday that there has been an unprecedented increase in the arrival of tourists in the state after the coronavirus pandemic.

The state of Arunachal Pradesh unveiled a faster, more effective, and smoother entry portal for tourists on Thursday under the name e- Inner Line Permit (elLP). The Inner Permit Regime in Arunachal is protected under the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation, 1873, which is why visitors to the state must get an Inner Line Permit (ILP). The e-ILP portal has been specially created for tourists by the state's IT department.

Akasa Air expands services to Vizag-Bengaluru route; adds Visakhapatnam as 10th destination
India’s newest airline Akasa Air, on Friday, announced the addition of the tenth destination Visakhapatnam. The domestic carrier said that it plans to launch flight services to Visakhapatnam from Bengaluru, starting December 10. Akasa Air launched its first commercial flight on August 7, 2022. Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Akasa Air, said, “We are delighted to add Visakhapatnam to our expanding network as the fourth major destination in South India with daily twice Bengaluru-Visakhapatnam- Bengaluru.”

Railways extends services of Patna-Puri special train
The railways has extended services of the Patna-Puri weekly special train (03229/03230) till December 30 for the ease of passengers travelling on this particular route. Earlier it was scheduled to run till November 16. According to the East Central Railway’s (ECR’s) chief public relations officer (CPRO) Birendra Kumar, the train will leave Patna every Thursday at 8.45am and reach Puri the next day at 2.55pm. “On its return journey, it will leave Puri every Friday at 2.55pm and reach Patna the next day at 9.35am,” the CPRO said.

Yatra Online Inc said its Indian subsidiary Yatra Online Ltd has received capital markets regulator Sebi’s clearance to float an initial public offering (IPO).
