Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun expressway will cut travel time by 4 hours, to begin from Akshardham Temple
The Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun Expressway is under construction. The 210 km long expressway will cut short the travel time between Delhi and Dehradun by a whopping four hours. It takes 6.5 hours to travel between the two cities. After the completion of the highway, the travel time will be reduced to 2.5 hours. It will take even less time to reach several UP cities from Delhi, including Saharanpur. The expressway is designed for a top speed of 120 km per hour but the operational speed is likely to be 100 kmph.

Ministry of Culture has set up seven Zonal Cultural Centres (ZCCs) with headquarters at Patiala, Nagpur, Udaipur, Prayagraj, Kolkata, Dimapur and Thanjavur. These centers aim to conserve and develop art, culture and crafts across the country. The government provides regular annual grant-in-aid for conducting various activities and programmes to ZCCs. However, no State and Union Territory wise funds are released by the Ministry for the purpose.

Tourism Ministry sought MHA’s support for tourist police deployment, says Union minister
Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy told Parliament on Monday that his ministry has sought the Home Ministry’s support to take up with state governments the matter of tourist police deployment at key tourism centres including in Jammu and Kashmir. Replying to a query in the Lok Sabha, he said the safety and security of tourists is essentially a state government subject.

The Mughal Road, connecting the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri in the Jammu region with south Kashmir's Shopian district, was reopened for vehicular traffic on Tuesday after remaining closed for five days due to heavy snowfall, officials said. The road was reopened for traffic in the afternoon. All the vehicles stranded on the highway moved to their respective destinations, they said.

Nigeria on Monday removed COVID-19 testing requirements for international travellers and it was no longer mandatory to wear masks on flights and inside airport buildings, the airlines regulator said. Passenger traffic increases by 16% in November at Jaipur airport
Passenger traffic at Jaipur International Airport witnessed a growth of 16% in November compared to October, officials said on Monday. A total of 4,31,691 passengers travelled through the airport in November, of which 3,94,550 were domestic and 37,141 international. The per day average passenger traffic was 14,023 and the trend is likely to continue in coming months, said airport officials. In October, the total passenger traffic was 3,72,720.
