India to resume e-Visa facility for UK nationals
For the first time since the COVID outbreak in March 2020, India is all set to resume the e-Visa facility for UK citizens travelling to India, the High Commissioner of India to the UK, Vikram K Doraiswami announced in a video message. Doraiswami said that the service will be made available to the citizens forthwith and the dates will be announced shortly. He further added that the resumption of the facility will enable friends from the UK to travel far more easily to India.

Global airline industry to post $6.9 billion loss in 2022: IATA
The global airline industry is projected to report a lower loss at USD 6.9 billion in 2022, mainly due to stronger passenger yields and cost control by carriers amid rising fuel prices, according to industry body IATA. In June, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) projected the industry loss at USD 9.7 billion. In October 2021, it forecast a loss of USD 11.6 billion for this year.

Nashik airport allowed to handle immigration facilities
The Union ministry of home affairs (MHA) has given its approval to Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), a defence PSU, to handle immigration facilities at the Nashik airport. Confirming the development, HAL sources told TOI that the MHA nod would enable the airport to handle international flights in future. Nashik airport is located around 20 km from the city in the Ozar area. At present, a low-cost airline is operating Nashik-Delhi and Nasik-Hyderabad return flights on all weekdays.

Goa: MGP To Back Central Government Over Naming Of Mopa Airport
The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) on Tuesday said it would back the decision of the Central government on naming of the new airport at Mopa in North Goa. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had on Monday announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first phase of the international airport at Mopa on December 11. The airport, being built at a cost of Rs 2,870 crore, will be the second facility in the state in addition to the existing airport at Dabolim.
